BATTLE LOS ANGELES

This movie was one of the most dissaponting movie experiences i have ever seen since "The Stepfather". I was honestly highly upset for the fact that the movie looked epic and i couldn't wait for it but as soon as it hit theaters the first day and i watched it i was highly dissapointed. The movie all in all was pretty good to me but i would not purchase it. I couldn't see why every one absolutely hated it but go figure with that. The C.G.I in that movie was great and amazing because obviously its 2011. The story was a little dry and lacked character development plus there was an action sequence after every scene. Not to say that i dont like action sequences but to have one every five minutes calls for a noisy film that gives a headache. All in all this movie had a pretty good story behind it even though it begins to fade away later in the film. Jonathan Liebesman was given a script that i think was too much to handle for his taste. Liebsman hasn't had much experience in film but i think maybe he mayu have improved but not fully evolved with this mediocre alien invasion film. The film's plot is as follows it is not any different than movies such as "District 9". Aaron Eckhart plays staff Sgt. Michael Nantz who is leading a team of marines through Los Angeles to fight an alien race that has entered our planet to raid us of our water. The film had alot of similar events that were taken from other films and put in here. Near the end of the film the scene in which they had to hold out for backup i have seen that in many films but it reminded me of the film "Saving Private Ryan", The alien ship rising out of the ground reminded me of "District 9" and the aliens looked like they were from Cybertron. I felt that this movie only focused on its action sequences and not its camera angles or acting. The film's acting wasn't that great to begin with so in all honsty i thinkk the movie should have been better. I hope that the next alien film should be better than this film. This film is an example that hollywood is approving anything now a days.
