This film from director John Woo is truly one of his best action films and one of the most over the top 90's action movies that i have ever seen. I honestly love this movie and it is my favorite movie of all time. This movie might sound like it is not a favorite movie kinda film, people may think its good but not great. I think this film is fantastic and it has two of my favorite actors in it. In all honesty you can't go wrong with John Woo because he specializes in over the top action. This film also shows that the Hollywood of the 90's was capable of action films like this which leaves no room for excuses. Face/Off definitely makes its mark with being an over the top action film. The plot of this epic action movie is as follows. John Travolta plays Sean Archer an F.B.I agent who has been trying to track down a terrorist named Caster Troy played by Nicholas Cage because of his Troy's failed assassination attempt that ended in the death of his son Michael Archer. Sean corners Troy on an airplane runway with his whole force and gets into a furious gun fight that ends with Troy being put into a coma. However, the C.I.A has neglected to find Caster Troy's last taunt which happens to be a bomb that can kill people within a square mile somewhere in Los Angeles. With this in turn they decide to put Archer into an operation involving a face lift making it possible for Archer to infiltrate prison as Caster Troy and find his brother Paulex Troy to find out the location of the bomb. The plan seems to be going well until Caster Troy wakes up from his coma and takes Archer's face so that they have now swapped lives. With Troy looking like Archer and Archer looking like Troy and with no one knowing about this top secret operation Archer will stop at nothing to get his life back and kill Troy once and for all.. This film has all the gun fight's, cursing, and bad ass stunts you could want in an action movie. I loved this film because i am a big fan of action movies and this movie delivers. It was as if they would stop at nothing until one of them was dead. My favorite scene in this film is the scene in which Travolta and Cage meet each other face to face in a battle at an old friends hideout. The camera shows the characters pointing a gun at a mirror each character on the opposite side staring at their reflections. This in turn meaning that they're enemy at this point is themselves. I loved this scene because it showed that both characters were not afraid to get in depth with their personas and thats what i enjoyed about this film. I honestly can trust John Woo when it comes down to action movies and can't wait to see another one past the date of 2011. With Hollywood's new technology in special effects the next John Woo film should be an epic win for fans.

GRADE- A
