FIGHT CLUB

This great movie from director David Fincher is truly one that shows his true talents in the art of film making. I watched this movie with no knowledge of what it was about just who directed it and who starred in it. Friends had been telling me good things about this film so i decided to give it a try. My expectations were high due to Rotten Tomatoes rating and of IMDB'S rating. I was definately not disappointed when i was done watching this movie. The humor was great combined with that David Fincher style of directing that's what made it a great phenomenal film that must be viewed if into fighting and humor films. The plot revolves around the narrator Edward Norton who plays a man filled with depression and bitterness looking for something in his life to make it interesting. At this point is where Brad Pitt comes in as a character named Tyler Durden a on the edge living madman who thrives on no rules. Tyler and Edward become friends and become more intertwined in each other lives by a mysterious apartment fire. Edward becomes more loose and with his new friend Tyler starts Fight Club a men's only club where men go to just relax and beat the hell out of each other. The movie goes on with this and also focuses on Edward's life more until a mind blowing twist will shock you and hit you unexpectedly. I loved that the film wasn't just straight fighting and that's all no not for this film. This film focuses more on humor than fighting but when it does have fighting they are very bloody. Another thing that interested me was the rules of fight club Rule number one:"Dont Talk About Fight Club". I found this to be an example of how secrative and special fight club actually is. My favorite scene in this film is the scene in which Edward Norton and Brad Pitt are in the parking lot intoxicated and throwing punches back and forth for fun eventually drawing a crowd which leads into fight club. This movie was a great installment in David Fincher's directing career because it expresses his true talents. I am starting to be more and more interested in David Fincher's films and i have viewed his film THE SOCIAL NETWORK which turned out to be a masterpiece of a movie. Please view this great film from director David Fincher.

GRADE- A
