this installment in the saw franchise is a nice gritty one that hit me lock a wall of bricks. this movie takes place during the story of saw 3 just in a different location. basically this movie follows officer riggs as he copes with the discovery of his dead co worker agent carrie and the dissapearance of detective mathews. this movie also revolves around hoffman, detective mathews and a lawyer who are put into the same game. this movie had some gorie traps with awesome sacrifices but most of them had at least one flaw. for example, the trap which involved a woman and officer riggs. it involved a woman that had her braid wrapped around gears and the gears would keep pulling untill it ripped her scalp off. officer riggs could have shot through her hair and saved her. honestly, this movie was still entertaining and kept up the decent acting that saw 3 had. i personally like the final trap that involved detective hoffman and detctive mathews. detective mathews was hanging on a block of ice connected to hoffmans chair with electrical wiring. the more water that comes from mathews melting ice block the greater the risk of being electrecuted for hoffman. this movie is in my opinion better than saw 3 and should be viewed as a bloody and entertaining installment in the saw franchise.
