This film is such a hilarious and entertainingly heart warming film. I loved every second of this film because it incorporates evil villains with a nice plot and emotional and comedic moments. Steve Carell was definately the perfect choice for this main character because he was hilarious and new the change of tone when the film was serious. It was interesting to me that this film included Actors/Actresses such as Miranda Cosgrove, Russel Brand, Jason Segel, Julie Andrews and Will Arnett who have all done comedy films before knew what to bring to the table in this heart warming filled movie. The plot follows Gru who is voiced by Steve Carell who is an evil mastermind and is trying to conquer his nemesis Vector voiced by Jason Segel who stole the ancient pyramids topping the best villianous act for the world. In an attempt to regain control of his rightfull place on top Gru decides to use a trio of little orphan girls to go into his nemesis's house selling cookies unaware that Gru has put robots in place to steal back a shrink ray that will help him pull off his master scheme. The little orphans,Margo the oldest voiced by Miranda Cosgrove, Edith the second oldest voiced by  Dana Gaier and Agnes the youngest voiced by Elsie Fisher, are innocent in the film untill adopted by Gru and exposed into a new environment. This film was filled with emotional moments such as when Gru's assistant Dr.Nafario voiced by Russel Brand sent the orphans back to the orphanage, This scene showed how much certain people care about winning and how much some people care about their family. I loved Gru's tiny yellow assistants because even though they did whatever Gru ordered them to do they were still hilarious in their own way.  My favorite scene was the scene in which Gru orders his yellow assistants to fetch Agnes another doll from the toy store and they have to dress up ass humans to go out in public. This scene was hilarious because of the fact that three of the assistants went on the job one dressed as a mother with a wig, one as a dad with a mustache and one as a baby wearing a diaper, The costumes and how idiotic they acted while in the department store was what made this scene a blast. Aside from all the humor i fully agree in the case that this film had been nominated for this years Golden Globe Awards. I will also be rooting for Toy Story 3 either way i will be happy who wins. This movie is a great family film and a great addition to animated films everywhere. Me and a great friend of mine had a dispute over the film Toy Story 3 but just like this one their animated and their still movies so it doesnt matter what age as long as you enjoyed it thats what counts. Please view this film with hilarious and emotional components.
