This film has got to be one of my favorite films of all time and by far one of Robert Rodrigueze's best works. The film being the masterpiece that it was is an amazing work of art only brought into the history of film because of Robert Rodriguez. Rodriguez pushed the boundaries with writer Frank Miller and made Miller's baby into an epic film. I loved this movie just by hearing about what it was about. I purchased this movie with no knowledge of what it was going to be like or if i would like it as much as everyone said. My expectations were good but when this movie was over i was left stunned because it was so amazing and thrilling i wanted to watch it again. I purchased the extended and unrated version that is about 20 minutes or so longer than the theatrical version. In all honesty this movie is a great adaptation of its comic/graphic novel just like Zack Snyder's Watchmen. The plot of this masterpiece film is four stories that are adapted from Frank Miller's graphic novels. The stories were great and had alot of action. The four stores are as follows,  they are named "The Hard-Goodbye", "That Yellow Bastard", The Big Fat Kill" and "Baby Wore Red". The first story "That Yellow Bastard" follows Bruce willis playing Detective Hartigan and Jessica Alba playing Nancy Callahan. The story is about Hartigan being framed for raping Nancy Callahan, he is in a haste to clear his name and take out the people who framed him while trying to protect nancy once and for all. The second story follows Josh Hartnett playing a guy called "The Man" that is speaking to a woman and who is in love but kills her for an unknown reason. The third story"The Hard-Goodbye" follows Mickey Rourke playing Marv who is trying to find Goldie his escort's killer. The final story "The Big Fat Kill" follows Clive Owen playing Dwight who is in love with Brittany Murphy who plays Shellie. Shellie is Jacki Boy's girl, Jacki Boy is played by Benicio Del Toro. Dwight follows Jackie boy into Old Town the place were women like Rosario Dawson's character arent afraid to get dangerous. Basically the point of the story is to make sure Jackie Boy doesnt do anything stupid or else Dwight will have to dispose of the body before the mob and police start a war. The movie is great and deserves the recognition for being an epic masterpiece. I lioved this movie and was not regretfull for buying this movie. I own the unrated extended directors cut which is 20 minutes or so longer than the theatrical version. My favorite scene in this film is the scen in which Mickey Rorke's story is up because there is so much action and it is so bad ass it reminded me of Arnold Schwartzenneger in "Comando". I absolutely will reccomend this film for all people who love the graphic novel's and people who love comics or action films. I highly love this film and think that it should win something. I cannot await the day when Sin City 2 comes out i will be first in line.
