This movie in so many ways was the best movie of august. I literally went into the theater with high expectations to be creeped out and my demands were met. This movie ishot in the style that paranormal activity or quarantine is shot in, freelance style. No matter what the style i still liked the movie alot. For those of you who don't know this movie is in no way associated with the exorcist franchise. Thank heavens not because this movie i think was a better new style for a horror movie. The plot is basic as usual, Reverin cotton marcus is going through life preaching and setting the right paths for people in his church and just in general being a great father to his only son. Reverind cotton marcus hates the idea of exorcisms but kept doing them untill the day he finds out that a boy was suffocated and killed in an exorcism. This upsets the reverind and pushes him to do one last exorcism. He  picks a letter at random and goes to ivanwood where it is said that a farmers cattle are being slaughtered by a mysterious force not on the land. The cast was not a cast of many but it included THE REVERINE, THE DAUGHTER NAMED NELL, THE FATHER NAMED LOUIS, AND THE BROTHER. Things happen in this movie that made me creeped out more than i was when watching the blair witch project. My favorite scene in this movie was when they discovered all the markings in the house and nell was nowhere to be found. It was creepy because all the lights were out and she could jump out at any given moment. I was able to sleep after this but i wasn't able to cope with being home alone for at least a week. I would reccomend this film if youre into demons, things jumping out at you and twists. The ending was a holy shit ending which means it will leave you breathless and wondering what the hell were the actors thinking. But in all honesty this movie is great, it is a creepy way to pass the time and its definately a movie that i would purchase.
