SAVING PRIVATE RYAN
December 1, 2010
This film from director Steven Spielberg is definately his best film ever made. Starring Tom Hanks and Matt Damon this war epic is one that truly should not be missed. I honestly loved this film and thought the war scenes were badass. This film was as if Call of Duty met Flags Of Our Fathers and combined it would make this amazing war epic that is the best one i've seen yet. This movie also featured alot of stars that were not yet big at that time such as Paul Giammati, Vin Diesel and Giovanni Ribisi. The plot, Tom Hanks plays Capt. Miller Who is assinged with a group of men to go find a James Francis Ryan a.k.a Private Ryan. They encounter trouble along the way and it is basically a fight for survival once they find Private Ryan. This movies opening was so epic just like a war movie should be and it is an actual invasion that happened in history. The invasion of the beaches of normandy a.k.a D-Day was the opening scene. This scene had so much bullets flying and blood spraying i was already certain what this movie would recieve. This movie had the best war sequences i have ever seen and i have to acknowledge Steven Spielberg for this amazing war epic. I am personaly a Big Clint Eastwood fan and love his films and i havent always liked Spielberg but now i know that he is definately up there with Eastwood and Nolan. My favorite scene in this film is the scene in which the movie opens with the D-Day invasion. This scene was so emotional and amazing because i didn't think this movie was even going to come close to being an A+ but now i regret saying that or thinking that. This movie comes highly reccomended from me for people who love war movies. This story was so emotional and i was thrilled that the movie was put together so extravegantly. please view one of Spielberg's best film and one of my favorite war epics ever made.
