This mediocre film featuring Seth Rogen and Cameron Diaz is one that should be viewed if dum dialogue and mediocre acting is a thing for you. The film all throughout it interesting and the plot is no different from any other superhero movie but it wasn't done right. The action sequences were satisfying but the acting, dry humor and unleveling story distracts from the good things about it. I actually had good expectations for the film but was utterly disappointed. The film has all the right components such as a good cast and a good story but the way it was put together made me wanna return it directly to where i rented it from. The film was mildly entertaining and i thought that someone like Seth Rogen could have done better than this. The plot to this eagerly mediocre action film is as follows. Seth Rogen plays Britt Reid the son of James Reid the head of a million dollar newspaper industry. When Britt's dad is murdered by a bee sting he is motivated to get his life on track. Before these events Britt was wasting his life partying, drinking and reaking havoc on anything he could get his hands on. Britt's disgust with his coffee one morning leads to Kato played by Jay Chou to return to explain why things aren't the same anymore. The film goes on from there with the bond between Kato and Britt, leading into the inevitable idea of pretending to be villains in order to fool the actual villains into joining them and then destroying them. The film all in all was really sketchy, No good character development, no good acting and most of all not even the typical action movie side humor. This film is your average Takers movie without the homosexual violin action scenes but equipped with the superhero concept. I was highly disappointed and felt that the film could have delivered more of a good performance by its actors. The phrase "Give It Some Time" does not apply here because that is exactly what id did and my grade did change but it went down not up. The film only had a few good action sequences one of which are as follows. My favorite scene in this film is the scene in which Kato is beating up the thugs in order to save Britt's life as Britt's superhero antics fail him. I reccomend that this film be skipped if you are looking for your occasional good action film.
