This movie is another edition to Robert Rodriguezes kick ass directing career because it will leave you amazed with its crazy action sequences. I love this film because it was the movie that i was was waiting for in the trilogy and because it was superb to the others. The plot, El mariachi played by Antonio Banderas is hired by Johnny Depp to kill a general named Marquez who coincedentally murdered his wife and daughter. El mariachi will stop at nothing to get revenge and complete the job. At the same time the general is trying to kill El mariachi while a mexican mobster named Barillo is trying to kill the president of mexico. The plot was definately a simple one but it had alot of things happening at the same time.
No matter what this film had me interested for the whole time from start to finish. I couldn't look away because it was so good. The action sequences were so over the top. They were better then any other Robert Rodriguez film ever made. The cast was full of great actors and actresses such as Mickey Rourke, Salma Heyek, Danny Trejo, Willem Defoe, Enrique Iglesias, Eva Mendes and Chech Marrin. It was the best cast i had ever seen together in an action movie. My favorite action sequence in this film was the scene in which Salma Hayek and Antonio Banderas were lying in a bed together chained to each other. They begin to be shot at and the way they escape is amazing. The explosions in this scene were put in at the right time. I personally took a chance when buying this final chapter in this western action trilogy. I do not regret buying this film. This film had so much badass action sequences in it you would expect more from your average action movies. The C.G.I was amazing and wasn't noticeable to an untrained eye. I highly reccomend this film to all Robert Rodriguez fans and to all of you who love action films with amazing action sequences. I presonally love this film and could watch it over and over again. Please view this final chapter in this western action trilogy from director Robert Rodriguez.
