In this masterpiece of a film starring Al-Pacino from director Brian DEpalma the kingpin of crime in miami is followed and his events through life are shown up untill his death. The plot has the plot that a crime movie should have or at least it models something for other crime movies. Tony Montana(Pacino) is a fierce and unmindful person who is a refugee that has been brought to miami from the slums of cuba's jails. As Tony starts life as an immigrant living in a detention center in miami tension rises to get out and live a better life. Tony is accompanied by his friend Manny(Steven Bauer) who sets up a deal with a rich man in miami in exchange for a greencard and a job when released from the center. The job is completed and shows Tony and Manny working their way up to the top and it all goes from there. The way this film was put together was extravegant. I loved how Tony didn't make friends with everybody he knew. Tony could always tell who was trouble and he did what he wanted to do and to me that was badass. The ending was awesome how it showed Tony's consequences for doing whatever he wanted by defending his mansion and himself from rivalry Sosa's men. My favorite scene in this movie is the scene in which Tony is doing a deal with columbians and it goes bad. Tony and his friends end up killing the columbians and taking the drugs but a chainsaw weilding maniac tries to fightback but is dissapointed with a final headshot. This scene made Tony Montana look like such a badass. I still want to mention that i think all crime movies should essentialy end this way and most of them do but some like to leave the main character alive and that's fine at some points but not always. I honestly think that this film is an excellent crime film and the lead character was played by a great choice Al Pacino. This movie is my favorite crime movie next to GoodFellas and Casino. From director Brian DEpalma comes one of the most badass crime movies evr made. It puts scorsese in a diaper and gives him a bottle of milk.
